Public access to the Strawberry River downstream from Starvation Reservoir has been acquired as part of the Central Utah Project. Two parking areas have been constructed along the access road below the dam and one in the Duchesne County Fairgrounds. Approximately 1.5 miles of stream in the middle of the angler-access reach are owned by the Ute Tribe and require a permit from the Ute Tribe for access.
